Shea butter (Butyrospermum Parkii Butter)

The shea fruit tree grows to a height of around 20 metres and is found only in the wild on the West African savannahs. For thousands of years, the kernels have been crushed into an extremely nutrient-rich nut fat or butter packed with vitamins, minerals, proteins and a unique composition of essential fatty acids. Unrefined shea butter possesses the greatest number of healing and moisturising properties, as well as the highest percentage of active ingredients of all butters and oils. Shea butter is exceptionally nourishing, moisturising and soothing for the skin and hair. It has anti-inflammatory properties, promotes the healing process and restores the skin barrier, encourages cell renewal and elasticity, and protects against extreme weather conditions and UV radiation. High-quality organic shea butter is beneficial for dry, chapped and irritated skin, itching, sunburn, eczema, skin allergies, insect bites and minor skin wounds, and it reduces fine wrinkles and lines.

Rosewood oil (Aniba Rosaeodora Wood Extract)

The cold-pressed organic shea butter is produced with respect for the environment by a women’s cooperative in Burkina Faso. The high-quality organic argan oil, sourced from ancient wild argan trees in southern Morocco, is produced in the traditional way with respect for the environment by a local Berber women’s cooperative. Thanks to the economic success of these women’s cooperatives, this unique wild argan forest can be protected from encroaching intensive agriculture, ensuring that this natural treasure is preserved for the future.
