  • Properties

    Shea butter
The Shea fruit tree grows about 20 meters high and only grows wild on the West African savannahs. For thousands of years the seeds have been crushed into an extremely nutritious nut fat or butter full of vitamins, minerals, proteins and a unique composition of essential fatty acids.
Unrefined Shea butter has the greatest number of healing and moisturizing properties as well as the high percentage of active ingredients of all butters and oils.
Shea butter is particularly nourishing for skin and hair and is anti-inflammatory, promotes the healing process, softens, hydrates, promotes cell renewal and elasticity, protects against extreme weather influences and UV radiation and is beneficial for dry, chapped and irritated skin, itching, sunburn, eczema, skin allergy, insect bites, small skin wounds, and it reduces fine lines and wrinkles.

This 100% organic Shea butter is obtained by cold pressing (mechanical pressing) of the nuts and still possesses all nutrients and properties.

    Argan oil
Scientific studies have shown that biological Argan oil revives the skin and revitalizes vital cell functions. The natural skin barrier is restored and free radicals are neutralized, effectively preventing the appearance of skin damage and, as a result, premature skin aging.

This organic Seabutter and Argan oil provides the skin day and night intensive nourishment and hydration. It restores elasticity and protects against UV damage.
Also as an ideal lip balm and for chapping.

A radiant, intensely nourished and soft skin? Add a tablespoon to a warm bath to apply the Shea butter as a thin film on the skin.
Ideal against straie and delicious for dry, oversensitive skin.

Organic Shea Butter restructures the hair fiber, revitalizes and restores the shine and resilience of dry and damaged hair. Leave a few hours before washing with a towel around the hair.
Tip: Effectively protect long hair from damage from chlorinated water, seawater and sun radiation (holidays, sports, etc.). Apply some organic Shea butter to dry clean hair, massage it between your hands and then distribute it well over all hairs with a brush. This way your hair remains well protected against free radicals and does not dry out or get damaged.

The cold-pressed organic Shea butter is produced with respect for the environment by a women's cooperative in Burkina Faso.
The high quality organic argan oil, derived from ancient wild argan trees in southern Morocco, is produced in a traditional way with respect for the environment by a local Berber women's cooperative supported by Arc en Sels on the basis of equal (fair trade) trade principles.
Thanks to the economic success of these women's cooperatives, this unique wild argan forest can be protected against the advance of intensive agriculture, so that this earthly treasure will be preserved for the future.
Conversely, these fair trade prices ensure that farmers and cooperatives make every effort to ensure the highest quality of their products. A real win-win situation!
Arc en Sels buys this shea butter on the basis of equal (fair trade) trading principles.
