The Corsican chestnut tree is used to produce a very delicate beige-brown pigment, making it a valuable commodity for the north of the "island of beauty." It has been used since the Baroque period to decorate majestic religious statues used in traditional processions.

Chestnut pigment is rich in antioxidants and vitamins B, C and E and has incredible biological properties.
