The butter is traditionally produced by women’s cooperatives in Burkina Faso and then carefully packaged in France in accordance with organic standards. The shea fruit tree grows to a height of around 20 metres and is found only in the wild on the West African savannahs. For thousands of years, the kernels have been crushed into an extremely nutrient-rich nut fat or butter packed with vitamins, minerals, proteins and a unique composition of essential fatty acids. Unrefined shea butter possesses the greatest number of healing and moisturising properties, as well as the highest percentage of active ingredients of all plant-based butters and oils. This pure, organic butter is rich in vitamins A, D, E and F and natural fatty acids that support the skin barrier.

Shea butter is exceptionally nourishing for skin and hair; it is anti-inflammatory, promotes the healing process, soothes, moisturises, promotes cell renewal and elasticity, protects against extreme weather conditions and UV radiation, and is beneficial for dry, chapped and irritated skin, itching, sunburn, eczema, skin allergies, insect bites, minor skin wounds, and reduces fine wrinkles and lines.
