ZENZ Plant-Based Hair Dye Pumpkin

Product description

A warm, soft pumpkin shade based on pure plant-based colour pigments. This completely natural, organic hair colour gives your hair a vibrant, stable and long-lasting colour whilst nourishing your hair and scalp with powerful Ayurvedic herbs. A gentle yet effective colour treatment that strengthens the hair, adds shine and supports its natural vitality.

This hair colour gives your hair a beautiful colour, but does not cover white or very grey hair.

Key benefits

This natural hair colour coats each hair with a nourishing plant-based film, making the hair look fuller and giving it an intense shine. The pumpkin shade gives a warm, copper-orange glow that looks stunning on light to medium blonde and light brown hair. Thanks to the powerful Ayurvedic herbs, the hair feels noticeably stronger, smoother and healthier after treatment. The formula is completely fragrance-free and made from 100% naturally sourced ingredients, using only certified organic components. Furthermore, this botanical colour formula offers a mild and safe alternative to traditional chemical-based hair dyes.

Active ingredients

Henna leaf

Gives the pumpkin shade its warm, copper-orange undertone. Enhances shine, strengthens the hair fibre and helps reduce dryness and dandruff.

Indigo leaf

Adds depth to warm shades and supports a natural-looking end result. Helps to stabilise and deepen the colour.

Amla fruit

Rich in vitamin C and antioxidants that support the hair follicles, reduce dryness and ensure a healthy, natural shine.

Bhringraj leaf

Known as the ‘miracle herb’ for hair. Promotes hair growth, helps prevent hair loss and strengthens the hair roots.

Hibiscus flower

Rich in antioxidants, helps soothe the scalp and enhances the hair’s natural, healthy shine.

Methi seed

Contains proteins and nicotinic acid that nourish the hair roots. Moisturises, reduces dandruff and gives the hair more volume and suppleness.

Use

Before colouring your hair with this plant-based hair dye, always carry out a colour test on a small strand first. Choose the lightest strand or the area with the most grey hair.

Wear gloves.

Mixing ratio 1:3 (1 part powder + 3 parts boiling water, green or black tea, coffee or a dairy product).

Apply the colour generously and as hot as possible to clean, dry hair using a brush or your hands.

  • Start at the ends and work your way up.
  • Wrap the hair in cling film (plastic bag) and a towel to keep it warm and moist.
  • Leave on for 25–90 minutes, depending on the desired colour intensity.
  • Rinse the hair thoroughly and wash it with shampoo.
  • For best results, rinse the hair with a natural rinse after washing and before applying conditioner.

Store in a cool, dry and dark place.

Please note: It is not recommended to use the Mahogany, Chocolate and Espresso henna colours on grey or very light hair. The colour may continue to develop for up to 7 days.

Tips

Henna produces reddish-orange tones, whilst indigo deepens the colour. Henna shades can range from light orange to bright red or reddish-brown and can be adjusted by mixing them with other herbs. Colour intensity increases when the hair remains warm and damp during the processing time. Heat can also shorten the processing time. The lighter the hair at the time of application, the redder the final result.

Bear in mind that botanical hair dyes are less effective at covering grey hair and may not produce a visible result if the percentage of grey hair exceeds 30%.

You can mix this botanical hair dye with:

  • Green tea: Makes bright colours less yellow or red and more natural.
  • Black tea: Enhances brown pigments.
  • Black coffee: Deepens the colour.
  • Boiling water: Enhances the colour.
  • Sour milk products (yoghurt): Lightens red colours and enhances the orange pigment.
  • Vegetable oil: Makes henna easier to apply and rinse out and prevents drying out whilst it is left on.
