An essential oil with an intensely rich, earthy/woody fragrance. Traditionally used as an antidepressant, it can help relieve stress and restore emotional balance. Patchouli has a stimulating effect in small doses and a calming effect in high doses. Patchouli is also known for its aphrodisiac qualities.

It is fungicidal and anti-inflammatory and can help to perk up dry, cracked or ageing skin.

Add 2-3 drops to a warm bath, massage mixture, vapouriser or diffuser.
