Shea butter (Butyrospermum Parkii Butter)

The Shea fruit tree grows to a height of about 20 metres and only grows wild in the West African savannahs. For thousands of years, the kernels have been crushed into an extremely nutritious nut fat or butter packed with vitamins, minerals, proteins and a unique composition of essential fatty acids. Unrefined shea butter has the greatest number of healing and moisturising properties, as well as the highest percentage of active ingredients of all butters and oils. Shea butter is particularly nourishing, moisturising and soothing for the skin and hair. It is anti-inflammatory, promotes the healing process and restores the skin barrier, promotes cell renewal and elasticity, and protects against extreme weather conditions and UV radiation. High-quality organic shea butter is beneficial for dry, chapped and irritated skin, itching, sunburn, eczema, skin allergies, insect bites, minor skin wounds, and it reduces fine wrinkles and lines.

Sesame oil

This cold-pressed and fair trade organic sesame oil is very rich in vitamin E (between 20 and 50 mg per 100 g), minerals, selenium and linoleic acid (source of the natural antioxidants lecithin and sesamoline) and is used in many Ayurvedic recipes. It restores suppleness to the skin, reduces irritation and is particularly suitable for sensitive, reactive or redness-prone skin.

Tocopherol (Vitamin E)

Use

The cold-pressed organic shea butter is produced with respect for the environment by a women's cooperative in Burkina Faso. The high-quality organic argan oil, sourced from centuries-old wild argan trees in southern Morocco, is produced in the traditional way by a local Berber women's cooperative that is supported on the basis of fair trade principles. Thanks to the economic success of these cooperatives, the unique wild argan forest can be protected from intensive agriculture. The fair trade prices also encourage optimal product quality.
