Bamboo is a grass species that grows super fast compared to trees. After cutting the bamboo, the plant grows back in 90 days to a tree of 30 meters high. Moreover, the plant itself produces an anti-bacterial substance, so no pesticides are needed. When harvesting bamboo, the roots remain in place. This ensures that the land is protected against erosion. For the rest, almost anything of the plant can be used, so it produces little waste. And everything made from bamboo is of course biodegradable again. A perfect alternative to felling trees from primeval forests and rainforests.
