At GreenBeautyShop, you’ll find natural and organic body care products from quality brands.

These products are gentle on the skin and made from pure ingredients, free from harmful substances. Our collection also includes many vegan body care products, fragrance-free and hypoallergenic body care for sensitive skin, and products tailored to specific skin needs such as dry skin and ageing skin.

What constitutes good natural body care?

At GreenBeautyShop, good natural body care is made from pure and nourishing ingredients such as certified organic plant oils, butters and extracts. It contains no harmful ingredients such as silicones, mineral oils and microplastics, nor any other undesirable substances that you often find in conventional and even so-called ‘natural’ body care products.

Body care products are used daily and come into contact with a large area of the skin. The formulation therefore influences how your skin feels, how it reacts and how well it maintains its natural balance.

For us, good natural body care means that it nourishes and protects the skin and leaves it feeling comfortable, without blocking it or throwing it out of balance. The skin remains supple and well-hydrated, without a heavy or sticky film.

That is why our collection features only natural and organic body care products that meet our standards for formulation, skin feel and quality. We deliberately exclude products that do not meet these criteria.

Which ingredients would you prefer to avoid in body care?

Many conventional body care products, and even those marketed as ‘natural’, often contain undesirable ingredients that, in our opinion, do not belong in a healthy, natural skincare routine, especially when used daily on the skin. These include silicones, mineral oils, microplastics, PEGs, sulphates (such as SLS and SLES), synthetic fragrances and colourants, PFAS, parabens and other preservatives, aluminium salts (in deodorants) and certain forms of alcohol.

Below, we explain the most common undesirable ingredients in more detail. These can be burdensome or even harmful to the skin and/or the environment.

Silicones

These are used to make the skin feel smooth and soft, but form a sealing layer on the skin.

Mineral oils

These can seal the skin and do not belong in a natural skincare routine.

Microplastics

Synthetic particles that provide texture and structure, but we avoid these due to their harmful impact on the environment and the skin.

PEGs (emulsifiers)

Used to mix water and oil and improve texture. We avoid PEGs due to their synthetic origin, as they can make the skin more permeable to other substances, and because of possible residual traces of ethylene oxide and 1,4-dioxane from the manufacturing process.

Sulphates (such as SLS and SLES)

Are used for their cleansing and foaming properties, but can dry out or irritate the skin with frequent use.

Synthetic fragrances and colourants

Can cause irritation or reactions in sensitive skin.

PFAS

Are used for their water-repellent properties and to make the skin feel smooth. We avoid these due to their persistence in the environment.

Parabens and other skin-unfriendly preservatives

Are used to preserve products, but can be irritating to the skin.

Aluminium salts (in deodorants)

Are used in antiperspirants to temporarily reduce sweat production by partially blocking the sweat glands. We avoid aluminium salts because they block the natural drainage of sweat and because there is debate regarding their long-term use on the skin.

Alcohol (such as alcohol denat.)

Can make products light and quick-drying, but may dry out the skin with frequent use.

Within our selection, the focus is on body care products free from these ingredients, with an emphasis on being as gentle on the skin as possible.
